Technique: Classifying Records Many visualizations benefit from a categorization of the data. Frequently the needed category field does not exist in the data. But the data does supply the information needed to create the category field. This can be done manually by adding a new column in BizInt Smart Charts and filling in the categories. Or, VP-SCE can be used to merge multiple source fields and combine relevant terms with List Cleanup to create a custom thesaurus.
